The Diabetic Specialty Clinic is a Westminster Free Clinic program offered to help diabetics control their condition and have better health outcomes. Diabetes is one of the top diagnoses at WFC with hundreds of patients struggling to get their blood sugars under control, but with prevention and medical care, the side effects can be decreased.
The patients see our volunteer doctor whose specialty is diabetes, a nurse, and dietitian all in one visit every 3 to 6 months depending on their diabetes is under control. More comprehensive monitoring and case management are provided to these diabetic patients.
